IMERC is pleased to be involved in the creation of a new course for those wanting to learn more about the specifics of troubleshooting Marine Computing devices. Devices to harness wave energy from the Atlantic Ocean, the development of green ships, autonomous submersible vehicles, acoustics in the marine environment, and the sustainable development of our ocean resources are among the target areas for innovation in the Irish Maritime and Energy Resource Cluster, launched recently by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny.

Call for Abstracts Open: 4th Annual Marine Renewable Energy Technical Conference, delivered by our partners in MREC (Mass Renewable Energy Centre).
The conference Technical Committee is now accepting extended abstracts for presentation at the 4th Annual Marine Renewable Energy Technical Conference on topics related to tidal energy, wave energy, offshore wind, ocean currents, ocean thermal energy and other ways to extract energy from oceans or rivers.

Dr Val Cummins, Director of the Irish Maritime and Energy Resource and Cluster (IMERC), has been awarded an Eisenhower Fellowship to investigate how the Americans manage their renewable energy and coastal development.
