We are situated in the National Maritime College of Ireland in Ringaskiddy. The college is 500 metres past the ferry terminal (Swansea-Cork & Brittany Ferries) which is well sign-posted throughout Cork City.

IMERC support to industry spans a range of activities, including access to national test-bed facilities, collaboration in innovation partnerships, campus based industry suites, brokering events, networking, and joint venture partnerships. Academic collaboration, an important aspect of IMERC activities, occurs at multiple levels, from local, to European (e.g. FP7, Interreg), and international. IMERC aims to attract and respond to a wide range of collaborations. It is characterised by a strong broad base across multiple disciplines, as well as a significant focus in niche areas that are aligned with and are a significant support for Irish national economic and policy needs. The IMERC Scholar Programme will be launched later in 2011. It will provide an opportunity for post-graduate placements, in addition to an annual scholarship award. The Programme fosters a positive engagement with top-class students in maritime and energy applications.
IMERC research, development, innovation and commercialisation activities are part of a global endeavor.
