About the IMERC Campus
The IMERC Campus is located in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork, 20 minutes by car west of Cork City Centre. It is currently the site of the National Maritime College of Ireland and the Irish Naval Service.

Phase 1
Phase 1 of the Campus development aims for the construction of the UCC National Beaufort Centre by May 2013.
Phase 2
Plans for Phase 2 of the Campus development aims for an extended maritime and energy science and commercial park on the adjacent Port of Cork land. This will be led by the Industrial Development Authority (IDA). Proposals for Enterprise Ireland incubator units will cater for start up and spin out companies.

Industry Suites
Industry suites will be available to clients who will benefit from the co-location via access to research facilities such as the national wave energy test tank facility, the NMCI environmental pool, the largest bridge simulator suite in the world, the naval dockyard, fire fighting units, engine room simulators, 100 seat auditorium, fabrication and engineering workshops, classroom, meeting rooms, library and restaurant.

Delivery
Governance Structure
The delivery of the IMERC Campus is overseen by a governance structure with representatives at the highest level from the IMERC core partners sitting on the IMERC governing authority.
The IMERC Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) provides for all of the governance arrangements agreed between the core partners.
This is complemented by representatives of key statutory bodies, such as the Industrial Development Authority, Enterprise Ireland and Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland, who sit on the IMERC executive board.
